Pangandaran gets succesfull Surffestival

It's true. Last year's surf event on Bulak Laut was great. But this year the organizing Lifeguard of Pangandaran really set the fishermenvillage on the spot. With good waves and a lot of talented surfdudes -and babes this event is surely one of the best in Pangandaran. Everybody is a winner and loosing is for gay-people. The deejay who blasted the beach with dee-da-doom beats en hip-hop-de-pop beats was ouststanding. And off course YK-internet recorded the whole deejay set and much more. Lack of tourists damages Pangandaran

It's high season but there are hardly any toerists in Pangandaran. Experts say the European 2008 soccer chmapionship is the reason for this emptyness. ,,After the bola ada Olympic Games in Beijing" , the local tourist police officer said to YK. ,,It will be empty as a bottle arak an a table with 39 drunken people." In the meantime we enjoy the empty beaches, desolate roads end starved restaurants.

Pangandaran Lifeguard equipped with tsunami-warning

The Pangandaran Lifeguard post close at seaside is now being equipped with a tsunami warning system. A pipe at the fishermensplace is being put in the ground underneath sealevel and has to registrate earthquakes in the Java-sea close to Pangandaran. The system is also sensative and can registrate the low- and high tides of the sea. Some country's have warning sysytems on mobilephones. You can registrate for it.
